Off-beat live – Milan Tomášik and Il Cuore Barocco

In this performance the close relationship of music and dance in the Barque era is explored from a view of a contemporary dancer. The contact between breathing and music rhythm, impulses of the contemporary dancer’s movement based on the baroque music, dialogue with the roots of contemporary dance. Milan Tomášik follows the relationship between contemporary dance and rhytm, breathing in and out in relation to the rhythmical structure of baroque music. He moves simultanously between the external influences of history of dance and the internal concentration of a dancer. The artist tries to find physical potential, which would allow the moving body to step out from the common dancing technique and the social implications of the body. For the first time the performance is joined by live music, performed by young musicians.
