Characteristics of the program:

The Austrian composer Joseph Umstatt spent some time at the princely court of Imre Esterházy in Bratislava. He was a well-known personality in his time. He mainly devoted himself to music for organ and harpsichord, but his mass cycles and operas were also performed. Among the many masses, the most famous titles are Missa Natalitia and Missa pastoralis – both dedicated to Advent and Christmas season. An intoxicating atmosphere Christmas will definitely be created by Petrus Peťek's charming Mass, based on pastoral material.
